Come and be part of the next 6-week Shunpike Social Club course and put a spring in your step for 2024!

Alongside the usual Shunpike experience of learning musical material together, and the resulting joy of playing together in a big band, this course will also focus on exploring movement, and the benefits that moving together as a group can have for individual learning as well as the shared rhythmic groove of the ensemble.

Sam Ward-Hardy (Jack Drum Arts, percussion) will continue to equip the drummers with a 'tool kit' of rhythms so that they start to feel more comfortable playing in a variety of styles as a bateria (rhythmic ensemble), while Laura McKay (brass/reeds/tuned instruments) will make her debut as a Shunpike tutor and bring some of her own arrangements.
