The Shunpike Social Club Spring course is here and we're excited!

As ever, we welcome brass/reeds/guitars of all abilities (must have own instrument) and will provide samba-style percussion instruments for drummers of all abilities.

Oi Musica's lead musician Marcus Britton is back to lead the tuned instrument section alongside Sam Ward-Hardy (percussion) and we'll continue to build the confidence of all players in the run up to an exciting (optional) performance on Sunday March 30th in Portobello Town Hall to celebrate Oi Musica's 7th birthday!

There's something for everyone in this course, with a combination of:

learning new arrangements as a group
re-capping tunes from the existing Shunpike repertoire
encouraging development of improvising skills

We'll also continue to use movement, singing, rhythm exercises and other elements of community music practice to enhance the street band experience beyond 'just playing music'.

Making music - there's no better way to spend a Monday evening :)
