We are excited to open bookings for Shunpike Social Club's Spring course - as the dark evening begin to recede and we look towards summertime outdoor music making again.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play in a genuinely creative and vibrant ensemble, directed by specialist music educators who provide challenge and reward for players at all stages of their musical journey. There's no other group like it in Edinburgh!

Monday nights from 23 February to 30 March (6 weeks), at Edinburgh College Milton Campus.

As ever, we welcome brass/reeds/guitars of all abilities (must have own instrument) and will provide samba-style percussion instruments for drummers of all abilities.

Band Leaders Marcus Britton and Sam Ward-Hardy will continue to build the confidence and develop the skills of all players, with another great course which will include:

learning new arrangements as a group
working on ORIGINAL new music devised by members of Shunpike Social Club
encouraging development of improvising skills

We are also VERY EXCITED to be welcoming guest artist Juliana Landim (Brazilian dancer/drummer/singer based in Liverpool) to work with the group on weeks 4 & 5 of the course.

There's no better way to spend a Monday evening :)
