Shut Up & Write! Aberdeen City: school night sip ‘n’ write!

Come along for a special Shut Up & Write - on a school night!

Expect a writing session with a slightly more social element than the regular Sunday morning meet-ups.

We will gather at 6.30pm, grab a drink and something to eat, find somewhere to sit, then start some timed writing at around 7pm. Unlike the usual single hour-and-a-quarter writing period, we will stick more closely to the ‘Pomodoro technique’: 3 x 25-minute writing periods, separated by two ten-minute ‘intervals’ intended for chat, drinks, etc. At the end of the third writing period, you are welcome to stay and chat (we have the cafe until 9.30pm)

The event is free, but you’re invited to contribute a few quid on the night to help towards covering the cafe hire fee.

The cafe will be offering its usual hot drinks menu, plus wine and beer. Cake and cold snacks will be available (no hot food menu). We will have the cafe to ourselves, attendance is exclusively through this event page.
