Event description

The Social Innovation Community of Practice (SICoP) Networking and Co-working sessions are fun opportunities for both established and emerging social changemakers and social entrepreneurs to meet up, learn something new, avail yourself to our co-working space to get some work done and have fun.

Hear from guest speakers sharing lessons learned from the coalface, including Mill House Social Enterprise Accelerator Program graduates, social impact investors and others.  SICoP days are also an opportunity learn more about SECNA, Mill House Ventures, Canberra Innovation Network, Service One, University of Canberra and other relevant programs to help you scale your impact and social innovation.

Agenda for the CoP days:

2 hours (morning tea) + optional co-working at Mill House Clinic, in the Social Enterprise Hub at University of Canberra

Why would you want to attend? What’s in it for you?

Social innovators and emerging social entrepreneurs live in two worlds! You deal with all of the challenges of managing and operating a small B2B or B2C business plus you also work closely with the NFP  and social welfare, justice and advocacy sectors.  There are events for business people and for community development practitioners and now Mill House offers a place for both.

SICoP days are an opportunity to meet other social entrepreneurs, have a chat with friends and your cohort, exchange ideas, share frustrations and ask for help.

These sessions are co-hosted by the Social Enterprise Council of NSW and ACT (SECNA).

Visiting the Mill House Ventures

The Mill House Ventures is located in a central area of the University called “The Hub” below the Refectory and Library.

Please leave yourself at least 10-15 minutes to find a park and locate our offices, especially during term time. Here is a helpful map to help you navigate the campus: https://www.canberra.edu.au/maps

There are several routes stopping at UC.
Please review https://www.transport.act.gov.au/ to plan your journey.
