Side Lying Massage Techniques- Adelaide

Ever wanted to increase your skills so you are able to access difficult muscles with minimal effort and stamina. Side lying workshop will change the way you practice or approach some muscles and techniques.

Participants will learn skills to enhance their massage therapy practice by using side-lying techniques which allow better access to discrete muscles, such as quadratus lumborum, tensor fascia late and hip adductors.

This one-day practical workshop will cover:

Anatomy revision and side-lying techniques (fibularis and adductors)
Side-lying techniques for hip muscles (gluteus medius and TFL)
Side-lying techniques for thorax and shoulder (latissimus dorsi and deltoid).
Side-lying technique for shoulder and neck (upper traps and levator scapulae).

Presenter: Rafael Bucater

Rafael Bucater specialises in musculoskeletal massage therapy, deep tissue and remedial massage, postural and biomechanical assessment.

Rafael has a bachelor’s degree in physical education, post-degree in exercise physiology overseas, diploma of fitness, sports, and remedial massage, in Australia.

He currently lectures at the Australian Institute of Fitness, Adelaide campus on fitness and massage courses for the last 5 years.

Rafael has also presented at the 2019 South Australian Sports Medicine FAST conference to sports trainer on sports massage techniques and self-care techniques and offers in services and tutorials to new therapists.

Cancellation: If it is deemed that a seminar is not viable, it may be postponed or cancelled by ATMS.
