A very special show at sideway on Wednesday 24 April 2024 (ANZAC Day Public Holiday Eve). Tickets are $15+BF pre-sale and $20 on the door. None turned away for lack of funds. Doors at 7PM. Bands from 8PM.
Lily Morris is a singer-songwriter from Braidwood, NSW (Yuin country) penning jangly, lyric driven songs about her hometown, growing up, and thoughts that hitch through her head at night.
Her first single ‘Grand Illusions’ (2020) was picked up by Courtney Barnett as one of her ‘Bandcamp Favourites’. Lily Morris’ sophomore single, ‘Back and Forth’ (released January 28, 2022), is a meditation on life in an evolving hometown and the grey areas of adulthood.
Lily played the sold out Milk Records! 10 year anniversary show at Oxford Arts Factory alongside Hachiku, Kee’ahn, Jess Ribiero and Courtney Barnett. In previous years Lily has been billed with the likes of Quivers, Jess Locke and Hachiku). Lily also featured as a special guest at Courtney Barnett’s Phoenix Central Park show in December 2022.
Vanishing Sound is a new project (dare we say supergroup?) from David Fenderson and Peter K from Territory and Earache, Lach Thomas from Assassins 88 and Danger Beach, Steph from the legendary, near-mythical Slug, and Jon Corcoran from Dog Name and p a r k s. Continuing on their winding path into the fringes of folk and noise rock.
