About the SIFT Centre
The SIFT Centre is a partnership between the Government of Western Australia's Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), the Future Food Systems Cooperative Research Centre (FFSCRC) and Murdoch University.  SIFT is located at the new Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia, at Peel Business Park in Nambeelup.

The SIFT Centre incorporates access to Murdoch University’s research and development facility, teaching spaces, the FIPWA innovation hub, laboratories for new product testing, and the SIFT Factory which includes food and beverage production equipment.

SIFT is an open access facility that food and beverage companies can use to research and develop new products. It is intended to support product innovation and development, reducing the hurdles of risk and cost involved when significant capital investment is required to make and take products to market.

Getting here
The facility is conveniently located only 1 hour from the Perth CBD, via Kwinana Freeway. Exit the freeway at Lakes Road, turn right again onto Lakes Road at the junction and then left onto Dollyup St into the Peel Business Park. Turn left at the Food Innovation Precinct WA entrance sign. Parking is available onsite, with street parking available for overflow.  Please look for signage directing you to the Murdoch University Food Centre building to check in.

A free shuttle bus service will run every 30 minutes throughout the afternoon between the Mandurah train station and the SIFT Centre for those opting for public transport.

Make a weekend of it
With a wide range of activities and accommodation in the region, why not stay the night or the weekend? The Visit Mandurah website is a fantastic resource to plan a trip, with all styles of accommodation and suggestions to keep you entertained during a Mandurah stay.
