In celebration of the highly anticipated second Cirrus release by longstanding Animalia alumni OK EG,, Cirrus presents an intimate and cosy Friday night gathering at Tender.

Friday ;31st October we invite you for an opportunity to see OK EG perform the EP in a live-set, accompanied by label curator Kia with an extended downtempo DJ set.

“OK EG turn inwards on Silent Green, their new release on Cirrus.

Written for a live performance in Berlin, Silent Green finds balance between intimate post club dream states and low tempo rhythmic workouts.

Fragmented voices harmonise with delicate synths and organic textures on ‘Open Sky’.

Wooden machinery clicks and whirs on ‘Veil’, opening into an inner expanse.

Optimistic warmth and melancholy blend on ‘Spirit’, knitted with resonant hi hats, scrolling wavetables and dubbed claves.

Sequenced hand drums and piccolo snares create structure for rising pads and analog bass on ‘Death Adder’, as subtle grooves unfurl under the watchful gaze of digital crows.

The artwork, created by the Amsterdam based digital artist Tharim Cornilesse, finds the cycle of life and death in the artificial environment of a greenhouse, digitally blended with patch notes from the first time the music was performed.

Cirrus and Tender operate on the land of the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge that the struggle against colonial violence continues. Sovereignty has never been ceded. Racism is still real.

Free entry for all First Nations Peoples can always be arranged, please email animalialabel@gmail.com
