SILI
Event description
SILI (So I Like Improv) is an acting class built by and for folks looking to let loose a little. Join us for a couple of hours every week as we explore the fundamentals of improvisation and acting technique in a supportive environment, with a focus on group games and play. We’ll move our bodies, learn some voice basics, and maybe even, no actually definitely not, do Shakespeare. It’s all about building your confidence and making new friends and giving you the permission to be gloriously SILI in a way that’s not socially acceptable anywhere else.
About your Teacher
Toby Blome graduated from NIDA with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) in 2017. He’s since worked across Australia on the stage and screen. Highlights include The Twelve (Foxtel), Gold Diggers (ABC), and Midnight Murder at Hamlington Hall (The Ensemble). He’s also one half of the clowning duo ‘Rudy & Cuthbert’, who have performed extensively in Sydney and Melbourne. Critics have called him ‘deeply amusing’ as have past employers, which is less of a compliment.
