Event description

Join us for a fun filled session where you will learn all about sourdough!

Sourdough bread has been baked and enjoyed for literally thousands of years, well before tik tok, scales and temperature probes existed.

In this class you will learn the basics. An uncomplicated, versatile way to enjoy sourdough in a busy modern life. We will teach you how to incorporate the process into your schedule in a way that works for you, no fancy specialist equipment required! That might be a daily loaf or a Sunday morning waffle cook up. The choice will be yours.

In this session you will:

  • Learn how to care for a starter

  • Practice kneading and folding techniques

  • Learn how to convert regular recipes to sourdough

  • Bake and taste some sourdough products

  • Enjoy a lunch where sourdough shines bright

  • Work on different doughs to take home and bake for dinner or the next day!

For your session, please bring along:

  • A jar to take home your starter, wider mouth is better

  • A Tupperware container to take home your pizza dough

  • An apron if you choose, things will get floury !
