Simply Being - A special program for young adults 18-40 years
Event description
Simply Being: Exploring our shared essence while celebrating diversity
We are blessed to be living in a society of diverse cultures and walks of life. But have you ever found yourself feeling distanced by our differences rather than united by love? Join us for an unforgettable "dialogue" where we will explore how to be authentic to who we are, while celebrating the diversity that makes us shine!
This event is for young adults (18-40 years) from all cultural backgrounds, whether you are someone who lives in Australia with a mixed cultural upbringing, or who has migrated to Australia, or you identify with other cultures, or perhaps you are generally interested in diversity and cultural harmony. We will be joined by international guest Maureen Goodman, Programme Director for The Brahma Kumaris UK, and a representative at the United Nations. Maureen has experience in facilitating inter-faith dialogues and has also practise meditation for over 40 years. She is know for her ability to harmonise diverse viewpoints. Leveraging her experience in meditation and positive thinking principles, she will bring unique insights on the topics of cultural diversity and harmony.
Join us at the Brisbane Multicultural Centre for an afternoon that will filled with interactive discussions, group sharings, profound insights from our esteemed speaker, and opportunities to connect with others.
This event is free to attend, but registration is essential. Please help us spread awareness of the event by bringing a friend with you and sharing this with your contacts!
Hosted by The Brahma Kumaris Brisbane, and proudly supported by Simply Humans.
