2 Hour Bonsai Workshop - Juniper Bar - Wollongong
Sip & Bonsai is a fun, easygoing workshop to share with friends or family, where you leave with a great story (and your own bonsai tree).
This beginner-friendly 2 hour workshop gets you hands-on from the start. Bonsai expert Mason guides you through potting, shaping, and wiring a bonsai, drawing on 30 years of experience and plenty of humour to keep things relaxed.
No experience needed, if you can hold a pair of scissors, you’ll be just fine.
Grab your drink of choice, settle in, and enjoy two hours of practical learning. You’ll head home with your own bonsai, how to care for it, and the confidence to keep it growing long after the event.

- Can two people share one tree/ticket?
No. Our events are ticketed per person, not per tree, so everyone attending must have a ticket. This is because space is limited and we need to be able to sell tickets for every seat we have available. Thank you for understanding.
- How do I attend this event?
The event is held at Juniper Bar, Wollongong CBD
Free on weekday evenings after 4.30pm for on‑street parking and Council car parks.
Pay easily for Council car parks or on-street parking using the CellOPark app (and only pay for what you use)
The most you'll pay for Council car parks or on-street parking is $1.10 per hour and as little as 60¢ per hour
Wollongong Central: first 2 hours free on weekends and free after 5.30pm (except Thursday)
Secure Parking: 2 hours free at 37 Market St every day, and $6 for 2+ hours on weekends
