Event description

Mark your diaries for a free Sip & Swap Soiree across two sessions in February. Now's the time to raid your wardrobe and give those forgotten pieces a second chance and walk away with new pre-loved finds.

Meet and mingle in the intimate space of The Studio, over cold pressed juices and Nodo treats, as you donate or swap your contributions of slow fashion, vintage, handmade or local designer finds.

At the event, you will experience a fashion workshop with Westfield Personal Stylist, Sara Hatten-Masterson who will help you to revive those pre-loved pieces into coveted wardrobe staples. All attendees will go into the draw to WIN a Personal Styling Session with Sara, valued at $200. See T&Cs here >

WHEN: You are welcome to attend either session, or both:

  • Thursday 16 February: 6pm - 8pm, with arrival from 5:30pm
  • Saturday 18 February: 10am - 12pm, with arrival from 9:30am

WHERE: The Studio, located on Level 1 near Kmart, behind the Concierge Desk

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING: A maximum of 3 items that meet a slow fashion, vintage, handmade or local designer find. These items must be of the highest quality, free from damage, stains, tears and still in wearable condition. These may include the following categories:

  • Tops: tees, shirts, jumpers, coats, jackets
  • Bottoms: shorts, skirts, pants, jeans
  • Dresses

Once donated items are deemed acceptable by our team, you will receive a token/s identifying how many items you are entitled to swap for. Refer to the T&Cs here >

Selection Criteria:

To ensure the swap offers the highest quality pieces, a selection criteria is considered when donating your items, which will be assessed by our friendly team upon entry. If items do not meet the following selection criteria, these items will not be accepted, as stated in the T&Cs >

  1. Is your item/s in the highest quality condition, remaining free from damage, stains, tears and deemed wearable?
  2. Does your item/s represent a slow fashion, vintage, handmade or local designer category? The below is an example of brands we would love to see pieces donated from, however we are open to other examples of slow fashion and even pieces purchased in centre that resonate with this criteria.

Acne Studios | Afends | Apres Studio | Citizen Wolf | Country Road | Cue | Dangerfield | David Jones | Elk | Esse | Gorman | Levi’s | Myer | Nike | Nobody Denim | Outland Denim | Sacha Drake | Sister Studios | Sportscraft | Tigerlily | Veronika Maine | Witchery

*Please note, your item does not have to come from a credited ethical brand, however, this is at the discretion of our staff who determine whether items are acceptable for donation, as stated in the T&Cs.

Westfield Carindale will be donating all surplus pieces to the Hope Hub; a community space for anyone that requires support to navigate social issues impacting women, men, youth and older persons, including domestic abuse and mental health.
