Sip, Sew and Mend

Got some repairs, alterations or mending that need doing? Or just want to learn some great techniques? Do it all with Florence's guidance in a gorgeous dog friendly bistro on July 28. Join us to sip, sew, chat and mend on the big table at Beach Club Oyster & Kitchen between 12-4pm. 

STAY AND PLAY THE WHOLE AFTERNOON OR DROP IN FOR AN HOUR OR TWO :)

Cafes and many other eateries have free spaces at certain times on certain days. Florence Saves Clothes want to support our hospitality industry by bringing people together in those spaces to enjoy doing good....with a great cup of coffee and something to eat, or even a glass of bubbles! 

We ask for $20 to cover Florence wisdom, time and materials, and that you buy something off the menu to support this friendly facility. 

What value will you get at this workshop and mending drop in?

- You'll learn how to properly sew on buttons and hand or machine repair button holes. You'll have access to a range of reasonably priced and interesting buttons too. 

- You'll learn how to quickly fix an unravelling hem on trousers or skirts, or creatively mend a hole - all with just a needle and thread. All resources supplied. 

- You'll leave with a new sense of community, a feeling of empowerment, and if you've eaten any of the scrumptious items on the menu, a very happy tummy :)
