SIR – the club night where you can feel SHAMELESS, INTIMATE, and RESPECTED – is back to kick it Y2K style!

SIR presents Y2K! 💿✨📟

SIR is an unapologetically inclusive techno party and safe haven for the LGBTQIA+ community, allies, and friends.

Before there was TikTok… before there was “cringe culture”… there was pure, unadulterated cringy fashion and absolute bangers. And at SIR, cringe culture is banned – so make sure that lip gloss is poppin’, sharpen that eyeliner, and get ready to serve millennium realness.

Join us Friday, 3 October 2025 at Double Whammy! for a throwback techno trip where Paris was queen, low-rise jeans ruled the world, and the only thing more outrageous than the outfits was the music.

Important notes:

Pre-sale: Tuesday 12 August 2025, 10am (mailing list only)
General sale: Wednesday 13 August 2025, 10am
The venue capacity is strictly limited and SIR is known to sell out. There will be NO DOOR SALES on the night. Get your ticket early to avoid heartbreak!

The program

We’ve got a stacked line-up, featuring our latest international headliner and both new and returning homegrown talent.

🔥 International Headliner – Marilyn Matrix

soundcloud.com/marilynmatrix | instagram.com/marilynmatrix
A Melbourne-based DJ with Berlin in her veins and the 90s/early 00s rave scene in her soul, Marilyn Matrix blends hypnotic techno, garage, acid, house, minimal, hardgroove, and trance into journeys that are groovy, driving, and full of surprises. She’s shared the stage with the likes of Victor Ruiz, Oliver Huntemann, SLAM, and Hannah Laing, and played everywhere from Revolver Upstairs to Brown Alley. Auckland – you’re about to find out why she’s one of Naarm’s finest.

⚡ Droz

soundcloud.com/drozentul | instagram.com/droz___

Stars finally aligned and we're welcoming our friend Droz to the booth! Argentinian-born and Auckland-based, Droz is the co-founder of Blackout NZ and a master of melodic, trance-kissed techno with an organic edge. His sets weave spiritual sounds, hypnotic grooves, and soaring peaks built for late-night release. You might’ve caught him at Il Brutto’s TEKNOPOLIS, supporting Berghain’s Boris, or lighting up Blackout and OHANA parties. Wherever he plays, expect a journey you’ll feel in your bones.

💋 LittleWild

soundcloud.com/dj-little-wild | instagram.com/djlittlewild

Serving fierce femme energy and genre-blurring chaos, LittleWild’s sets are high-voltage trips through light and dark, dripping in retro-futuristic flavour. She’s lit up dancefloors from Ink Bar to AUM Festival and left punters confessing they went home for the best sex in 10 years. You’ve been warned.

🖤 MBVR

soundcloud.com/mbvr | instagram.com/dj.mbvr

SIR’s co-founder and resident BPM troublemaker. From Berlin-inspired hypnotic techno to filthy queer pop reworks, MBVR will take you up, down, and all around before leaving you sweaty, smiling, and very satisfied.

Dress Theme: Y2K 🚨

Paging all Y2K fashion victims: are those the new Chanel boots? Don’t estomp your little last-season Prada shoes at me, honey! And remember – we don’t wear pink only on Wednesdays… we wear it on Fridays at SIR.

Think butterfly crops + micro minis, low-rise jeans, vinyl Matrix realness, velour tracksuits, rhinestones, and just enough body glitter to signal to NASA.

Channel a pop princess or that one girl in your high school who swore she was moving to NYC to be a model. Bonus points for flip phones, tiny handbags, and attitude.

We wanna see your millennium meltdown masterpieces on the ‘gram!
Serve us your hottest Y2K fit, tag SIR, and you could snatch one of two prizes:

💿 Best Outfit – For the ultimate early-2000s slay (pop princess, cyber goth, mall rat… surprise us)
📸 Most Creative Post – For the most unhinged, iconic, or gloriously trashy throwback moment

✨ Who’s a rockstar? YOU ARE! this is your moment to resurrect the 2000s.

We strongly encourage you to participate in the fun and come dressed in theme, but if you don’t have anything to wear in theme, please wear pink or black!
Coat check will be available at the venue: 1 item per person (bag or to hang on coat rack). All proceeds going to charity: NZ Falcons!
You can prepay at the price of $2 when buying your ticket by selecting add-on or pay $5 in cash at the venue
