SIRF OERt Workshop |Capturing and Transferring Best Practice with Darrell Lea
Event description
Capturing and Transferring Best Practice - with Darrell Lea
Well trained and motivated employees are pivotal for a successful operations. A key part of training well is capturing the current best practice and transferring this knowledge so that it is instilled in all those that require it so that they can perform the best practice every time it is required. The ability to do this well is a core capability to genuinely be a Continuous Improvement organization. The current best way is the baseline for any improvement activities.
In this SIRF workshop, Darrell Lea's Engineering manager will outline the Darrell Lea program to improve performance at their Ingleburn, Sydney factory by training operators and fitters in the Darrell Lea current best practice.
Darrell Lea are making great use of the available modern technology to capture best practice and effectively use it to efficient train those that need to know. They will share their best practice program goals and results as well as the lessons learned along the way - what they would do again and also what they would do differently if implementing again.
We will also hear from two other perspectives of the Darrell Lea best practice program : that of their technical writer who interviews the Darrell Lea subject matter experts and creates their training materials, and; that of one of their subject matter expert fitters .
Many lessons to be gained for those who want well trained operators and maintenance teams to deliver best performance.
This workshop will have an opportunity to discuss other Best Practice Programs used by other SIRF members in attendance and share elements that are working, hurdles overcome for all to learn.
