    Sistas in Business are back for another celebration of our incredible female trailblazers with not one but TWO events. 

    EVENT ONE: THE LUME

    Please join us for a captivating evening of networking and cultural exchange on Thursday, August 10th, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC). We warmly invite our Kinaway Members and Corporate Partners to come together once again to support and celebrate our women-led businesses in a beautiful setting.

    The excitement begins at 6:30 PM with a warm welcome and refreshing drinks at Goldfields, located near door 17 in MCEC. At 7 PM, we are honoured to welcome two exceptional guests from the USA, Jen Tomasik, Vice President, and Brandi Ross, Director of Business Development, both representing the prestigious Akana Group, and Australia's First Privately Owned Native American Company to be registered in Australia, Akana Ittatoba Pty Limited. These distinguished ladies bring a wealth of experience and expertise, and their presence at the event is a testament to the significance of fostering global connections.

    Jen Tomasik is a trailblazing professional with 25 years of experience working within First American communities; she has had the honor of inspiring youth, empowering entrepreneurs, and equipping our Indigenous Nations with resources needed to sustain generational impact. She earned her degree from Salish Kootenai College, laying the foundation for a remarkable career that would positively influence the lives of many.

    Brandi Ross is a proud Cherokee Citizen, Ms. Ross has spent time working in the Logistics and Trucking space, and the Manufacturing industries. Skilled in Contract & Policy Review, Shipping & Receiving, International Importing & Exporting within Manufacturing industries. Additional community involvement includes her time spent with her family preserving her Cherokee Culture and Language as well as supporting other tribes with their same efforts on an International scale. She is a member of the National Association of Foreign Trade Zones and is currently working to activate a First Nation to First Nation FTZ with The Akana Group and shares her work with fellow International partners and allies. Brandi is passionate about creating positive storytelling for all indigenous peoples and appreciates anyone who is interested in better understanding their own personal family history and cultures.

    During the evening, you will have the opportunity to interact and engage with Jen and Brandi, learning from their journey and gaining valuable insights into business development and international collaboration. Their inspiring stories will undoubtedly enrich your perspectives and open new avenues for growth.

    Invitations have been extended to esteemed dignitaries, including Mayor Sally Capp, Senior Dignitaries from the US Consulate in Melbourne, the US Ambassador's Office, Office of the British High Commissioner, the Minister for Indigenous Affairs, and selected Kinaway Corporate partners who share a keen interest in supporting women-led businesses.

    From 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, immerse yourself in the wonders of The Lume, the world's largest digital art gallery, that combines cutting-edge technology and timeless masterpieces. Explore a breathtaking fusion of Indigenous art and innovation that promises to leave you awestruck.

    Simultaneously, on the mezzanine level, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, indulge in a private networking and cocktail party while forging meaningful connections with fellow attendees from various industries.

    EVENT TWO: AMAZON STATE EXCLUSIVE DINNER
    But the excitement doesn't end there! On Saturday 12th August, at 6:30PM - 10PM we cordially invite a limited number of lucky guests to an Amazon State Exclusive Dinner at 329 Burwood Rd, Hawthorn VIC 3122. This intimate gathering promises an evening of refined dining and insightful conversations that will undoubtedly enrich your business perspectives through national and international connections. The esteemed guests from Thursday's event will also be in attendance here.
