Presents the Sisterhood Alumni Networking Series

An Evening with Sandra Boyle (Class of 1968)

Join us for an inspiring evening for our Sisterhood Alumni Networking Series, hosted by Santa Maria College. This unique series aims to foster stronger bonds within our Santa Maria Sisterhood, creating a nurturing network for support, wisdom sharing, and mutual growth.

Guest Speaker: Sandra Boyle

We are delighted to introduce Sandra Boyle (Class of 1968) as the speaker for our second session of the series.

Sandra Boyle (Turner) is acknowledged nation-wide as a pioneer and leader in the use of mediation and negotiation as a way of achieving a fair outcome for all parties. Today, mediation is the dominant way of practising law in Australia. When Sandra studied Law, she was one of thirteen women among a cohort of two hundred men. These days there are more women who graduate Law than men.

Upon graduation, Sandra established a legal practice with her husband. Nineteen years at that firm taught her the skills that would equip her for mediation; empathy and the ability to resolve complex conflicts within family and business relationships. Sandra went on to lecture and tutor at the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University. She was then recruited by the WA Supreme Court. In this role for 25 years, Sandra helped to change the face of the Law in this country.

In 2018, Sandra was awarded the Australian Commercial Mediator of the Year by the Australian Centre for Disputes. Then, in 2022, she was honoured with the Antoinette Kennedy Lifetime Achievement Award by the Women Lawyers of Western Australia.

We invite you to join us for an evening of networking, learning, and meaningful connections. This is an excellent opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, expand your professional network, and gain valuable insights from Sandra Boyle.

Places are available for 20 alumni.

Refreshments and nibbles will be provided.

Refunds are available up to 7 days prior to the event
