Sisterhood Series 2024 - Louise Hausted
Event description
The Sisterhood Series is exclusively for students in Years 10 - 12 and offers the chance to hear from inspirational alumni guest speakers.Â
The series runs over recess every Wednesday during Terms 2 and 3 in the Santa Maria College Boardroom in the McAuley Building.Â
We are excited to welcome Louise Hausted as our guest speaker for the opening session of the Sisterhood Series in Term 4.Â
After graduating from Santa Maria in 2004, Louise studied a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition at Curtin University, followed by completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics. Initially working in aged care, Louise secured a position as a Public Health Nutritionist at Foodbank WA, facilitating a school nutrition program. Over the next 12 years, employment at Foodbank WA brought Louise varied and amazing experiences including week-long fieldtrips to every region of WA, interstate professional conference presentations, being welcomed into some of the most remote communities in the country and the forging of countless professional relationships. After a career break to grow her family, Louise has recently started in a new role at the Perth Children’s Hospital, working on an exciting research program for children with chronic diseases such as cystic fibrosis and type 1 diabetes.
Join us to learn from Louise's journey and expertise in the field of nutrition and dietetics!
Spaces are limited to 15 students per session, and registrations are essential - don't miss out on this valuable experience!
