Event description
The Sisterhood Series is exclusively for students in Years 10 - 12 and offers the chance to hear from inspirational alumni guest speakers.Â
The series will run over recess every Wednesday during Terms 2 and 3 in the Santa Maria College Boardroom in the McAuley Building, with the exception of the first and last week of the term.
We welcome Marie Egan as our guest speaker for the fifth session of the Term 2 series.
Marie is an esteemed professional at the forefront of horticulture, viticulture, and hydrogeology. In 2003, she completed a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and Viticulture with honours at the University of Western Australia (UWA). She has worked in the turf industry for 27 years and has gained a wide range of turf management experience, having worked in private schools, golf courses, and turf maintenance contracting.
In 2018, Marie further expanded her expertise by earning a Master of Hydrogeology from UWA, delving into the complex realm of groundwater systems and sustainable water management practices. With a keen interest in managed aquifer recharge, Marie is passionate about leveraging her knowledge to help local governments address irrigation water source issues and promote environmental sustainability.
We invite you to join us for this insightful session as Marie shares her experiences and expertise gained from over two decades of working in the field. Whether you have a budding interest in horticulture, hydrogeology, or simply wish to gain valuable insights from a seasoned professional, this event is not to be missed!
