Site Tour | Thales Lithgow Arms
Event description
Our site tours are an excellent forum for networking and engaging in “peer to peer” learning with other members while getting a first-hand look at some of Australia’s leading industrial and manufacturing facilities and warehouses.
Host Site:
THALES Lithgow Arms
Website
Lithgow Arms have been part of the Australian manufacturing landscape for decades. This Thales facility has been implementing lean strategies for nearly a decade in their manufacture of small arms.
We are pleased to be able to again venture over the Blue Mountains and see how they are going.
We will also hear about their multimillion-dollar expansion plans around a purpose-built production facility that will integrate new digital technologies such as 3D printing with traditional precision manufacturing processes.
Our hosts will be David Forbes, CI Manager and Bruce Hutton, Manufacturing Operations Manager.
