Join NAWIC Canterbury for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Lyttelton Port Company.
We’ll jump on a bus and head behind the scenes of one of Canterbury’s most important pieces of infrastructure, getting an insight into the people, operations and projects that keep the port moving.
The tour will be hosted by the team at Lyttelton Port Company, with commentary throughout the journey and the opportunity to hear from a range of women working across different areas of the business.
We will travel through the port, taking in the marina, maintenance workshop, cruise berth, offices, inner harbour, dry dock as well as the Te Awaparahi Bay development, while hearing from the people who keep the port moving. The tour will showcase the wide range of roles and careers across the port, from trades and operations through to environmental and project-based roles.
This is a great opportunity to see a side of the port that you don’t normally get to experience and learn more about the diverse range of roles and careers that contribute to its operation — from construction and project delivery through to trades, electrical, environmental, logistics and port operations.

Arrive from 3:30pm
Bus tour departs at 4:00pm
The bus tour will run for approximately one hour
Optional drinks afterwards to continue the conversation at Eruption Brewing
Important: The name you use to register for the event must match as it appears on your Photo ID. Photo ID is required to enter the port. Please bring valid ID with you on the day. If you do not have your physical ID, you will NOT be permitted to enter the port. A photo or digital copy of your ID will not be accepted.
Parking: There's plenty of Parking at Te Ana Marina (access off Godley Quay)
