& BUILDING SUPPLIES + BLUESCOPE STEEL

Overview:
ArchiTeam members are invited to attend a site tour with No.1 Roofing and Building Supplies & Bluescope Steel at Port Kembla.
It all kicks off with a quick safety briefing at the Visitor Centre, where you’ll gear up with safety gear (PPE) before hopping on the tour bus. As we make our way through the Port Kembla Steelworks, you’ll see everything from giant machinery and towering structures to locomotives and massive piles of raw materials. Feel the heat as we climb up to check out the Basic Oxygen Steelmaking (BOS) plant and the continuous slab caster, giving you front-row views of steel production in action.

9:00am - Introduction and safety videos, safety briefing and PPE allocation
9:30am - Board bus for tour
12:00pm - Return to Visitor Centre for Lunch & Presentations

This presentation will leave your with an understanding of the profile possibilities of architectural panels using painted steel, focusing on understanding panel systems, their advantages, recommended build-ups, recommended membranes including condensation management control tips, and compliance to Australian Standards.
It will cover: Snap-Line45®, Zeno-Clad™, Expression™ Interlocking Panels, Genesis™ Standing Seam, Eclipse™ Snaplock and UrbanE™ Nailstrip.
Please note: Attendees must organise their own transportation to Port Kembla.
There will be plenty of parking onsite.
