Description

Are you interested in historic Aboriginal sites of significance such as scar trees & stone tool making flakes? Would you like to help us preserve these places?

Would you like to learn about local plants our people use for bush foods and medicines? Would you like to see the plants growing here locally and identify them?

Would you like to see a real scar tree and hear how the scar was made and why it was made? Would you like to learn about how stone blades are made from local stone? Would you like to learn more about the local Wayilwan / Weilwan people and why these lands are so important to us?

Come along for a walking tour. Bring comfortable shoes and a hat. Moderate fitness required and a willingness to walk through natural environments.

Water included free. Snacks & non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

This event is hosted by Maliyangaa Ngurra Cultural Centre at Quambone and local traditional owners.

If you need a place to stay the night in Quambone we recommend the Sundowner Hotel Motel or the free camping ground in Quambone.

Refund policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. To ensure fairness while maintaining the viability of our retreats, the following refund policy applies: 1. Eligibility for Refund A refund (minus any non-refundable booking fees) will only be provided in the following circumstances: Sorry Business –(Death of a family member or friend where you are attending the funeral and the funeral or travel to and from conflicts with the date of the booking). If you are unable to attend due to Sorry Business (funeral, cultural obligation), you must provide a funeral brochure, obituary notice, or other verification. Illness or Medical Emergency – If you are unable to attend due to illness or a medical emergency, you must provide a valid medical certificate from a registered health practitioner. 2. Notice Period You must notify us as soon as possible once you become aware you cannot attend. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance without prior notice, even if the reason meets the above criteria. 3. Refund Amount If eligible, we will refund the amount paid less any non-refundable booking, catering, or accommodation costs already incurred on your behalf. Alternatively, we may offer the option to transfer your booking to a future retreat (subject to availability). 4. Non-Refundable Situations No refunds will be provided for: Change of mind. Personal scheduling conflicts. Failure to provide required documentation for Sorry Business or illness. 5. Processing Time Approved refunds will be processed within 14 business days of receiving valid documentation.
