Winners of the BBC Music Magazine Award, the Sitkovetsky Trio brings a program of Beethoven, Shostakovich, and Chaminade to Snow. Described as “magnificent” (The Strad), they’re among the world’s finest piano trios.

Formed at the Yehudi Menuhin School, the trio has earned a reputation as one of the world’s leading piano trios, performing in the most prestigious concert halls around the globe. Recent winners of the BBC Music Magazine Chamber Music Award, their acclaimed Beethoven album was named one of The Times’ Best Classical Albums of 2024.
In this compelling program, they explore the emotional depths of the piano trio repertoire, from Beethoven’s evocative Ghost Trio and Shostakovich’s haunting Trio No. 2 to the lyrical brilliance of Cécile Chaminade’s rarely heard piano Trio No. 2. In the second half principal viola of the Australian Chamber Orchestra will join the illustrious trio to perform Brahms’ mammoth Piano Quartet No.1.
