Six Feet Under the Radar: A Tribute to Needles Jones

Earl Dax Presents:

Six Feet Under the Radar

Thursday January 8th

doors 7pm

NOBODY was more under the radar than Needles Jones (aka Ira Abramowitz), the self-proclaimed "drag pariah" and punk raconteur. Fittingly, a calvalcade of downtown NYC's brightest stars pay tribute to Needles at this sprawling nightlife event organized by wayward impresario Earl Dax.

Hosted by legendary performance artist Penny Arcade and WaPo style guru Shane Shane, the evening features a live band, The Lesbian Tendencies (Viva DeConcini, Clara Latham and Tami Johnson), with performances by Machine Dazzle, Christeene, Raul de Nieves, Carol Lipnik, Dusty Childers, Enya Buttox, Jason Lutz, Tigger! and Gio Black Peter. Music courtesty of DJ TRx. Archival video of Needles by drag historian Joe E. Jeffries and animation by Mike Enright.

Presented in association with Under the Radar Festival and Vintage Annals Archive.
