Six Seasons Finale
Event description
The Six Season’s project has been an excellent project bringing people together, connecting them to country and the six seasons of the Noongar people, the original people who walked this country.
From June 2021 until now we have had six events at selected locations in our region each with a Noongar speaker, scientists and other dedicated people , who have studied the lore of the land from a range of perspectives.
This whole program has been initiated by the Denmark Environment Centre, funded by Lotterywest and coordinated by Holly Pepper.
As part of this project a 6 short documentaries have been made of each event have been created. In addition to the films a print publication was created, documenting the stories of organisations and people involved in environmental landcare and restoration around Denmark has been developed .
The premiere of these six short films together with the launch of the “Landcare and Land Restorations Stories” will be on Sunday the 17th of July 2022 in the Civic Centre in Denmark at 5.30pm – 7.00pm
We hope you can be there to celebrate the final of the Six Season’s project and to celebrate country and its Noongar heritage.
