Event description

Welcome to the SJ Bunting Library, a community initiative in which sewing enthusiasts of all skill levels come together, have a cuppa, and create bunting from repurposed materials/fabric! This bunting can then be borrowed, for FREE, by residents for events such as birthday parties, Christmas, school faction carnivals etc, therefore minimising the use of single-use disposable decorations such a balloon and streamers.

Why are we starting a bunting library?

• Repurpose textiles that would otherwise end up in landfill.

• Reduce waste from single-use plastic and paper decorations.

• Cost effective (FREE)

• Support local creativity.

• Strengthen the Shire’s local identity.
