Event description

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is proud to support National Reconciliation Week 2025, a time to reflect, learn, and strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.

The Shire is honoured to present local Noongar artist Fiona Reidy from Djinda Kaal Dreaming Aboriginal Art for two community-based workshops celebrating National Reconciliation Week 2025.

Fiona is currently collaborating with the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale to create culturally significant artwork that will be featured in the Shire’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan. These immersive workshops offer a unique opportunity to connect with Aboriginal culture through shared storytelling and art.

Youth Workshop (Ages 12-18)
Join us for a chill, yarning-style session where you'll work with other young artists on a giant collaborative canvas, explore Aboriginal culture, and add your own colour and creativity.

Materials and light refreshments provided.
