Sketching The Cape Don
Part of The Coal Loader Sketchbook Challenge
Join like-minded amateurs in this special event; sketching onboard the MV Cape Don, berthed alongside The Coal Loader.
This event is provided free by North Sydney Council however MV Cape Don request a $10 donation per person, paid directly to Cape Don staff on the day. Please only book if you agree to this and are able to attend on the day.
Please bring compact sketching materials and your concertina sketchbook (bought or homemade). Pack light (no more than one bag), with sustainability in mind (repurposed materials, nothing that generates microplastics), and self-sufficiently (eg jar pre-filled with water for painting, something to take your rubbish away in).
PRO TIP: Add a dark or earthy colour washes to your pages in advance, a white page can be intimidating.
Open to all artistic abilities, if you have joined us previously for the sketchbook challenge or if this is your first time. Unfortunately The Cape Don is not wheelchair accessible so unlike our other events, this session is not recommended for those with mobility issues.
This is a COVID-safe event and run in accordance with the current NSW Health guidance.
