Description

Join local artist, Claire Pendrigh at Dunalley Bay Distilleries Tasting Hut for a drawing and painting workshop immersed in the beautiful coastal landscape of Dunalley Bay.

Spend the day drawing directly from the environment — collecting shells, seaweed, plants, pebbles, and other found elements from the tideline to work from.

Claire will guide you in observing and responding to this place through the things we find on the shore. Whether you're a confident painter or picking up a brush for the first time, this workshop offers a relaxed, supportive environment to slow down and really look.

What to bring: a sketchbook, some watercolour paper, and any drawing or painting materials you'd like to work with. Some art materials will also be supplied.

Claire Pendrigh is a visual artist in Teralina/Eaglehawk Neck. She draws her inspiration from the Tasmanian environment and the feeling of awe that she experiences in wild places. Claire studied at the Australian National University School of Art and has developed her practice through international residencies in Iceland, Japan, Samoa and Australia. Her work has been exhibited across Australia, the UK, US, Japan and Samoa.
