    Human-Centered Design workshop: 

    solving complex problems, starts with good design.

    with Anna Watson - Director - Human-Centred Design - PwC

    Learn the basics of how to take a customer-focused approach to solving problems and coming up with solutions.

    What you’ll get out of it: 

    • A foundational understanding of the five stages of human-centred design;
    • A taster of the different ways human-centred design is applied in the workplace;
    • An addition to your CV: attendance at the PwC’s 101 on Human Centred Design.

    Our workshop facilitator - Anna Watson:

    Anna naturally brings empathy and cohesion into her everyday practice as a human-centred designer. With a background as a corporate lawyer, Anna’s strategic mindset compliments her focus on the human experience.

    Anna draws on a range of methodologies to address complex problems in a purposeful, human-centred manner. Anna has worked alongside clients to help them form strategic relationships, engage with communities, and undertake organisational change.   

    Recent highlights have included being part of the core delivery crew of the 2021 "Super Saturday" Vaxathon, which resulted in more than 130,000 people getting vaccinated in a single day, and supporting Te Puna Aonui (the Joint Venture for Family Violence and Sexual Violence) engage with diverse communities across Aotearoa on a violence preventation strategy.

    Event Details:

    This workshop will feature a 2 hour interactive session, where you will learn about the foundations of human-centred design and how this can be applied in your future work, Recognised as a key skill for the future, human-centred design provides a framework for understanding customer needs and solving complex problems.

    A free dinner will be provided as part of the workshop.
