Christian Perfas (otherwise known as "Soul Stuf") is a second generation, Filipino-American spoken word poet and teaching artist born and raised in Red Hook, NY and currently based in Los Angeles. Blending irreverent humor with earnest yearning, he loves to explore the silly, sad, and seemingly mundane aspects of human existence within his poetic works. Soul Stuf has been invited to share poems for The New York Poetry Festival, Electric Forest, Riot Games, Sofar Sounds, The LA Times Festival of Books, and The City of Paris. And he is the published author of "Play: A Reclamation of Soul," available on his press' website via World Stage Press. When not sharing his heart on the stage or the page, you can find Soul eating his way through different neighborhoods across the continental U.S.  or building a new deck for his favorite hobby, Magic: The Gathering.
