Slap Dragon

Get ready for a night of seriously good grooves! Nashville’s Slap Dragon is bringing their irresistibly joyful blend of bluegrass, disco, funk, and R&B to West Art. The brainchild of bassist Scott Mulvahill and vocalist Laura Berens, Slap Dragon pairs soulful vocals and acoustic swagger with some of Nashville’s finest session musicians for a live show packed with musicianship, spontaneity, and plenty of groove! Following a breakout 2025 and a successful Kickstarter campaign, the band is gearing up to release their debut album, Mission Statement, this year.

Joining them is Lancaster's very own Barkley Cove! The four-piece is known for their unique mix of folk, rock, country, and bluegrass to create a distinctly original sound that will linger in your ear long after the last chord!

What to expect at the show:

>> Doors will open at 6:30 pm. The show will start at 7:30 pm.

>> Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door if not sold out. Tickets for Reserved Seating are also available for purchase. As always, we’re proud to present an all-ages show!

>> Parking is available on the street around F&M College. We suggest finding a spot on the park side of Buchanan Ave, Race Ave, or College Ave (North of Buchanan). Thank you for helping us be good neighbors!

>> Format: This will be a mixed-format show in The Sanctuary. Our space is ADA accessible, and we will do our best to accommodate any specific needs.

>>The Art Bar is open daily from 7 am–10 pm with a full espresso menu, beer, wine, cocktails, N/A drinks, and tasty bites from local bakeries. Come settle in before the show, and linger after for a nightcap!
