Description

Slawa Horowitz-Duldig was a sculptor, an inventor, a Mother and an extraordinary woman. She was also a remarkable cook. Her Kugelhupf was legendary: an edible reminder of Vienna that found a new home in Melbourne.

Eva de Jong-Duldig, daughter of Slawa and Founder and Patron of the Duldig Studio, will share memories of her mother's kitchen and recipes. Joined by Rita Erlich AM, celebrated food writer, researcher, lecturer and broadcaster, to discuss Slawa's recipes and the traditions behind them. Followed by Q&A with both speakers, afternoon tea served in the Sculpture Garden (or on the front veranda if the weather isn't kind).

This year the Duldig Studio celebrates its 30th anniversary. This special Annual Founder's Talk explores the cooking traditions of the Duldig family, from Europe to Australia, through the recipes that carried memory, culture and comfort across continents.
