In low lights and candles, settle in for a soul soothing Sunday afternoon Yin Yoga & Meditation practice while celebrating the FULL MOON. Perfect for resetting yourself and preparing for the week ahead. Connect with the earth and yourself as you nourish the soul and calm the mind.

With an emphasis on seated and reclining poses using props for support, you'll feel tension let go as you ease into softness. Incorporating pranayama (breathing techniques), this class is perfect for deep relaxation, rejuvenation and self-reflection while improving posture and flexibility bringing stillness and clarity to the mind.

Yin Yoga is a slower-paced practice which focuses on softening the mind and body and releasing tension. Yin poses are held for longer to bring you into your deeper self and settle into being and letting go. This practice is a wonderful way to safely bring attention and nourishment to specific areas that are often neglected. After a soothing Yin sequence the session finishes with a restful, restorative, and rejuvenating reclining yoga nidra / meditation.

We use props to support you to allow for deepening into your pose for better release of tension.

Prepare for a deep restorative practice where you'll release, let go, go within and explore!

Open to all levels and experiences.
Great for those with injuries & challenging sleep patterns.
Perfect for beginners!
Please get in touch if you have any questions regarding this class.

ABOUT YOUR TEACHER

The founder of Ok-Topia Creative Arts Studio, I am a 350hr qualified yoga teacher and have been teaching classes in yoga, burlesque, acting, movement, performance and dance for over 20 years.  I approach my classes with an element of fun and imaginative exploration, allowing space for students to experience the many benefits that yoga and dance has to offer. My personal yoga practice began in 1990 when I was drawn deeply into the traditions of both Iyengar and Ashtanga. Yoga has profoundly enhanced my life enabling me to become more present and step into 'being' as opposed to 'doing' - elements and benefits of yoga that I love to share with my students. I teach from traditional roots of yoga incorporating breath (pranayama), poses (asana - both moving and static poses) and meditation to help participants experience a state of connectedness and relaxation through integration of the mind, body and spirit. I am also actively involved in the Australian performance arts industry and in 2016/17 was crowned Mx Burlesque Australia!
