Twenty-seven seconds. That's how long the average person spends looking at a work of art.
Join us on Saturday 13 April for Slow Art Day and take the time to focus on art and the art of seeing.
What is Slow Art Day? One day each year, people all over the world take time to visit galleries to look at art slowly. Participants look at three selected artworks currently on display at the Ipswich Art Gallery for up to 10 minutes each. Sketching, note-taking or simply deeply looking are all possibilities - paper and pencils provided. Then meet together over light refreshments to talk about your experience.
This event is FREE but RSVPs are essential. Recommended for 12 years and over.
