What is the Slow Breakfast Club?

PART 1: SLOW BREAKFAST 🥢

We are going back to how food is meant to be consumed – slowly and communally. The idea of slow eating resists fast-paced, capitalist living that deprives us from connecting with our foods and our bodies.

And we're not just feeding our bellies – while we eat together, our hosts will also share thought-provoking tidbits about our gut brain, the migration of food, and the practices of archiving.

🫧 All food will be vegan + gluten and nut free!

Menu created and cooked by Tauntaun and SPILLLL studio, to be revealed soon...

PART 2: COMMUNAL RECIPE-ZINE MAKING ✂️🔖

Bring your cabbage recipes along to build a shared archival zine using natural cabbage dyes and more! 🫧

* What is a Solidarity Sliding Scale system?

This is how we acknowledge economic inequity and increase the inclusiveness of our events.

We rely on our community to pay fairly, or as much as they can afford, to help us cover the running costs of this event while providing affordable and accessible food and cultural experiences for all.

We also understand that people have different financial experiences and access to resources. We hope to make our events truly accessible to a diverse number of people no matter their financial status.

The "At Cost" price covers the cost of delivering this event, with no mark-up included. In order to help make this system sustainable, we ask those who can to pay the "Solidarity" price. 100% of ticket proceeds help us fulfil our affordable and accessible ethos.

A useful tool for thinking about where you might fall on the solidarity sliding scale is the Green Bottle:
