    Event description

SLOW GRIND 80s returns to our roots with an undergound (but upstairs) BYO house party style affair above a picket fence shop in industrial Brunswick.

Don your hottest 80s look and enter the dark, smoke filled oasis of your dreams, where DJs Richie1250 (Stone Love, PBS FM), Milo Eastwood (The Breakfast Spread, PBS FM), Lady Love Potion and Danielsan (Koolism) throb the crowd with slow grinding R&B, druggy disco, ad*lts-only AOR, nymphomantic new-wave, and other yet-to-be-classified strands of sultry '77-'93 club music. To top it off we'll spice the night with special live performances from Pip Serpentina and Genevieve Callaghan.

    Sat Feb 25th, 9pm-3am

BYO BOOZE (Paper cups and ice provided)

$25 + bf (Humantix booking fees go to various charities, and i'll be donating $5 from every ticket sold to the ASRC)

    NOTES:
    - 80s slow grind parties start an hour earlier than the regular ones, at 9pm
    - There's no bar, so if you drinking bring sufficient booze to see you through the night
    - There will be a smoke machine going all night and it will get very smokey. The smoke is non-toxic but if you ain't into smoke machines this might not be the party for you...
    - The dancefloor at Slow Grind is for dancing. If you need to use your phone, please do it over in the hallway or go outside and get some fresh air. (We don't mind you taking a quick photo or video to post up later on, but standing in the middle of the dancefloor staring down at your phone is poor Slow Grind etiquette)
    - Slow Grind is not specifically a partnered dancing event. Some people dance with a partner, some with a group of friends, some alone with their eyes closed. You can do it how you wanna.
    - The vibe of the night is very hazy and sultry, but the vibe is also about having good manners. Don't be all up in someone's personal space if they aren't inviting you.
    - These ticketed slow grind events usually sell out beforehand so it's best to book a ticket if you really wanna come. Tickets are refundable up to one day before the event. But there's only space for so many people so please don't message me on the day asking if there are more tickets if it's already sold out...
