Slow Looking at Future Dreaming

In a fast-paced world, gallery visits can often feel rushed. Studies show visitors spend an average of just eight seconds looking at a single artwork.

Slow Looking is an invitation to pause, unwind, and deeply connect with art. Hosted at The Torch Gallery during our annual Future Dreaming exhibition, this guided one-hour session offers space to settle in, spend meaningful time with selected artworks, and discover your own personal connection to each piece.

Led by artists and staff from The Torch, the workshop guides you through gentle breathing exercises, focused looking prompts, and reflective group discussion.

All materials (clipboards, pens, and prompts) and light refreshments are provided.
