FAQs

  • Do I need prior experience with meditation or ink painting?

Not at all. This session is designed for beginners, requiring no specific background or belief system. We will provide guidance for both the meditation practice and the brushwork. You only need to bring an openness to the experience.

  • I have physical limitations and cannot sit on the floor. Can I still attend?

Absolutely. If sitting on a floor cushion is uncomfortable for you, please let us know in advance. We will ensure a stool is available for you.

  • What should I wear?

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing suitable for sitting on a cushion and gentle movement. As we will be working directly with permanent black ink, we recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting a stray drop on, just in case.

  • Do I need to bring my own cushion or art supplies?

No, all materials are provided. We will provide the brushes, ink, and rice paper for you to use during the session. If you choose to sit on the floor during the meditation session, cushions will be provided.

To ensure you are as comfortable as possible for the duration, you may also need additional padding beneath your legs. As such, we highly recommend bringing a thick towel or folded blanket to support your posture and make sitting on the floor more comfortable.

To help us preserve a calming atmosphere and minimize visual distractions in the gallery space, we kindly request that any items you bring be in subdued or muted colours.

  • Will the tea and snacks accommodate dietary requirements?

We will be serving a curated selection of tea alongside light, plant-based snacks. If you have specific or severe allergies, please contact us prior to the event so we can best accommodate you.
