Sun, 20 Jul, 1pm - 3pm NZST

Event description

Haveabashery is very excited to be collaborating with Stitchmakers.

This is a six-lesson course where you will learn various embroidery stitches and design techniques to create your own slow-stitched design. Absolute beginner to advanced stitchers will enjoy using their creativity (with guidance if needed) to produce a one-of-a-kind project.

We use a long strip of softly felted blanket to create our projects. This can be turned into a concertina book or a scroll to be hung on the wall. A spindle for the scroll can be purchased separately. You do not need a plan or idea to start a project. The spontaneous design approach produces ideas that would not happen otherwise. It's also a lot of fun.

This is a 6 class course. Each lesson will run on Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.

  •  20th July

  • 3rd August

  • 17th August

  • 7th September

  • 21st September

  • 28th September

You will receive an email reminder before each class.

Your kit will consist of backing fabric (blanket), a selection of needles, felt for practice stitching and a small selection of unusual fabrics and dyed lace. Other fabric and threads can be purchased from Stitchmakers when you decide on your design and colours.

$200 for all 6 lessons + booking fee. Haveabashery chose to use Humanitix for their ticketing because 100% of the profits from your booking fee goes to charities involved in education.
