Simple, effective vocal techniques for casual singers
for more ease, options, and fun!


Singing is not just for the "naturally talented"; it's a physical skill, involving muscles.  Muscles can be exercised, and your brain-voice connection & awareness can be strengthened!


ANYONE can increase their skill & understanding of singing, for better control, ease, and options of different sounds to play with!

In this workshop aimed at just-for-fun singers, choir singers, and shower/car singers alike, you'll learn 5 key vocal techniques that anyone can apply straight away for:

-  Easier high notes

-  More clarity

-  Increased strength

-  Vocal versatility

Less straining 


    For fun & stress-free singing in choir, with friends, or just at home.

    This workshop will NOT include:

    • Reading from sheet music
    • Any solo singing
    • Any auditioning, or need for prior experience or ability
    • Being told to take bigger breaths or "use your diaphragm"
    • Scales

    This workshop WILL include:

    • Making silly noises as a group
    • Singing outside of the notions of "good" and "bad"
    • Techniques you can use straight away
    • A bit of info about how your vocal instrument works
    • Fun, play, and lightbulb moments!

    Bec Tilley is a professional vocal coach, having worked with over 600 individuals over the past 12+ years.  She is on a mission to make singing inclusive to EVERYONE, because singing is a skill that anyone can learn. 

    Equipped with her training & study of anatomy-based vocal technique, coaching practices, and trauma-informed facilitation, Bec loves to show casual & beginner singers the power & versatility of their unique vocal instrument, and empower them with more confidence & understanding, to show that singing is not a mystery reserved only for the "naturally talented".

    There is no wrong or right way to sing.  You have a remarkable & versatile instrument, and Bec is here to help you unlock it with a playful approach, to bring more of the JOY of singing & music to your life!

    Bec is the creator of online resources Secret Singing Lessons and The Living Voice Library, and works with clients in-person in nipaluna Hobart, and online all over the world.  She loves funky music, dark chocolate, and motorcycling, and performs her original music under the artist name Tilley.  Find out more about Bec by clicking here.


    About the workshop:

    WHEN: 10am - 12pm, Saturday April 13th

    WHERE: The Golden Room, Kickstart Arts, New Town. 

    WHO: Up to 30 adults who love singing with choirs, with friends, or at home!

    (Got a teen who is interested in coming along?  That's fine - but this workshop is primarily aimed at adults.)

    WHAT: 2 hours (including breaks) of vocal play, strange noises, singing a song together, and learning techniques to make it easier, sound better, and give you more options!
