Presenters and Guest Speakers:

Host: Dr Mariam Mnatsakanyan, Analytical Chemist and Founder of AirLabOne. Mariam holds a PhD in chemistry with postdoctoral expertise in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacology. She has collaborated with leading institutions, such as the University of Geneva, University of Sydney, Nestlé, and CSIRO. A recipient of the prestigious Horizon H2020 fellowship for her work on cloud-based lab infrastructure and NVIDIA Inception for her innovation in digital twin med-lab devices, she now leads AirLabOne, pioneering smart digital twins that are transforming transparent, compliant, and traceable remote lab work through digitalization.

Brett Hyland, Stakeholder Engagement Manager, National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia. Brett is the Stakeholder Engagement Manager at Australia’s laboratory accreditation authority, NATA, and he is a current Project Lead at the United Nations Centre for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (UN/CEFACT). He brings a broad perspective to conformity assessment matters, with a career that has included management system certification, laboratory operations and management, technical management of accreditation operations, regulatory engagement and varied international representations. Brett has led a variety of national and international activities aimed at defining standard protocols for handling conformity data, within the context of digital trade systems.

Dr Orin Chisholm, Program Director, Fellow, Regulatory Affairs (USA), The University of Sydney. Orin is the program director for the postgraduate programs in Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Development at the University of Sydney. Orin is also a regulatory consultant providing services to biopharmaceutical and medical device companies bringing innovative therapeutics to market. Orin received the TOPRA, UK award for excellence in regulatory education in 2017; became a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) in 2018 and was elected a Fellow of the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society in the USA in 2021. Her research focuses on regulatory science, workforce development and pharmaceutical policy.

Adam Crowe, CEO Equinox Medical. Adam is CEO for Equinox Medical, an Australian owned medical distribution company, which delivers quality medical products, systems and software in two main segments as follows: 1. Pathology systems and consumables in RNA/DNA extraction & PCR screen testing, diagnostics and genomic sequencing for virology, microbiology, fertility, oncology water and veterinary sectors. 2. Orthopaedic prostheses in spine and trauma. Equinox continually enhances the design and manufacture of these medical services through collaboration with leading Australian clinicians. It also aims to improve the diagnosis of infection and inflammation post-surgery by combining the two segments above.

Brad Stratton, AI/ML Engineer, xAmplify. With a background in biomedical engineering and chemistry and previous AI roles in national security, Brad is recognized by NVIDIA as a leader in digital twin development in the Asia Pacific region. Specialising in data fusion, complex system model development and model visualisation for digital twins. As the digital twin lead at xAmplify, Brad coordinates and spearheads the development of complex digital twins in a variety of sectors including Defence, mining and engineering and IT infrastructure. Known for his ability to work closely with clients to cut through to the core of their business problems to architect and execute tailored solutions, Brad works on the cutting-edge of digital twin infrastructure and technology. With his digital twin and AI strategy knowledge in high demand Brad shares his learnings with students, technologists and executives through a range of speaking opportunities, technical talks and workshops.

Damien Landais, Co-CEO + Hardware Engineering Manager, MSc (Electronics Engineering), Genesys Electronics. Damien's career started at an electronics design house in Finland as a hardware engineer. He rose to become Operations Manager leading projects such as Beddit, a Finnish sleep tracker that would later be acquired by Apple. Migrating to Australia he joined Genesys Electronics, quickly becoming the lead hardware engineer. As Co-CEO, he will lead adoption of new technologies, and new services around production logistics, while fostering a collaborative team environment.
