SMART Squad: Forensic Science holiday workshop
Event description
Get ready for hands-on science these school holidays! This half-day workshop, run by the University of Newcastle's SMART Program, will explore the fascinating world of forensic science. Students will learn some of the techniques scientists use to help solve crimes, from fingerprinting to chromatography.
All activities will be age-appropriate, involving everyday objects and scenarios, so there’ll be no bones, blood or bodies in our investigations (and certainly no murders or weapons!)
Plus, there will be plenty of time for open-ended exploration so your child can work at their own pace, with support from the SMART Program’s expert educators.
