Smart St Films pres "Going Down"

Going Down" is a 1982 Australian cult film capturing the chaotic nightlife and youth culture of inner-city Sydney in the early 1980s.

Overview

"Going Down" follows four young women—Karli, Jane, Jackie, and Ellen—living in a share house in Sydney as they spend one final night together before Karli leaves for New York. The film explores themes of friendship, adolescence, and the transition into adulthood, portraying a gritty, realistic view of Sydney life that contrasts with the idyllic images often associated with Australia.
