SMART STEM Club - Term 4 - 2023
Event description
Primary School Students in Years 3 to 6 are invited to:
STEM Club Term 4 - Curious Chemistry
Curious about chemistry?! We are too! This term we will be investigating a wide variety of interesting chemical experiments.
Across 6 sessions we will explore the chemistry behind:
- Homemade lemonade
- Good vs bad playdough
- Indicators
- Smell vs taste
- Homemade sherbet
- Gooey slime
Participants will have the opportunity to deliver a mini experiment to their family or friends at the end of the final week (7th December).

Host: The University of Newcastle's SMART Program
Dates: Thursday afternoons (for 6 weeks), 02/11/2023 to 07/12/2023
Time: 4.30pm - 5.45pm (75-minute sessions)
Who: Primary School Students in Years 3, 4, 5, and 6
Location: Callaghan Campus, University of Newcastle, NSW Australia
Cost: $150* per student ($25 per session incl. GST, 6 sessions)
*Reduced cost for Term 3, made possible thanks to funding support gratefully received from SMART's STEM Industry Partners.
Payment: Online via Humanitix only. Installment options available.

- Limited to 20 students, accepted based on order of registration via Humanitix
- Restricted to Primary School & Homeschool Students currently enrolled in Years 3, 4, 5, or 6
