Connect to Nature though art in the Greener Wilder West - take your phones into nature and capture it at its best! 

This 2-hourly photography workshop assists young image makers to improve their planning and technical skills in capturing the beauty of nature using mobile phones or other digital recording devices of their choice. An experienced tutor will guide the group to mindfully explore, connect, appreciate and make captivating images in a friendly and supportive manner. Bring your own devices and wear protective clothing for the day.



Please note: This program is for participants 15-24 years old. 

Meeting Point: Wida - la  Picnic Shelter, Bungarribee Park 

Jo Wong Hoyee is an analogue and digital arts maker, educator, photographer and creative and cultural programs coordinator active in the Macarthur region. She specializes in free-hand and tech-aided cross-medium image making techniques in various stylistic choices. She works with arts and culture event participants of diverse ages, backgrounds, capacities and interests and is currently gaining accreditation in art therapy and personal counselling at Western Sydney University. 




This workshop has been organised in collaboration with Casula Powerhouse
We reserve the right to cancel the event in case of dangerous weather or if minimum participation numbers are not met. In these circumstances a refund will be offered.

Do not attend our programs, if

  • You show any COVID-19 symptoms or feel unwell
  • You have returned a positive Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) or Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test
  • You have been asked to self-isolate

Please follow the NSW Health COVID-19 testing and self-isolating Health Order advice. We will refund your ticket if you or your child are not able to attend due to any of the above reasons.
