Snake Awareness Sessions (6 to 13 years)
Event description
As the weather warms up, snakes become more active. This workshop is designed to teach your kids essential skills on what to do if they encounter a snake, while also giving them the chance to meet some friendly snakes up close. Remember, while snakes can seem scary, they play a vital role in our ecosystem, and it's important to learn how to coexist with them. Presented by WA Wildlife, a not-for-profit WA group dedicated to rescuing, treating and conserving native wildlife. This 90-minute session offers a hands-on experience with some amazing animals and provides valuable information on how to handle snake encounters safely.
Please note that this event is designed specifically for the age group 6 - 13. Please see below for information regarding expectations.
This is not a 'drop and leave' event. All people under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible parent/carer. Parents/carers are responsible for the safety and well-being of children at all times.
